Transcription: I wanted to do a realistic, naturalistic film that is pretty honest to a lot of bands who can perform very well, that actually can tear themselves apart. It's also, I didn't want a classic Hollywood ending, on the other hand it's how you equate success. As Joey says at the end of the film, you list a day horizon as you raise expectations of life and in that respect that is success.
